For the second straight year, The Manse on Marsh, an independent and assisted living community that serves San Luis Obispo County, announced that it was awarded a prestigious “Caring Star” based on the positive consumer ratings and reviews its Arroyo Grande Assisted Living campus received in Caring.com’s Senior Care Directory.
To be eligible for a 2016 Caring Star Award, an assisted living community must have had at least one 5-star review between December 1, 2014 and September 30, 2015, an overall average rating above 4 stars and no unresolved negative reviews. The Manse on Marsh exceeded these criteria with five 5-star reviews for an overall average rating of 5.
The Mance on Marsh understands that internet-based reviews are important for helping people make decisions about assisted living. In recent research conducted on people researching assisted living in Arroyo Grande, they found that internet-based reviews were even more important to researchers than recommendations made by medical professionals. In fact, it was through internet reviews that many people learned about the services offered under the Point Care System. The Point Care System is used by the Manse on the Marsh to determine what services each resident needs. The Point Care System assures that residents only pay for services that are necessary. The Manse on the Marsh is the only assisted living facility in Grand Arroyo to offer such a system.
Manse on the Marsh CEO Logan Sexton credited the award to staff at the Manse on the Marsh, who he describes as “innovative, creative, and sensitive to the desires of our residents.” He also thanked those that took the time to leave the positive online reviews.
