Securus Addressed all Inaccuracies of Global Tel Link’s Claims

Securus Technologies published a Press Release on June 9, 2016, to clarify few misunderstanding and confusion that created after some unlawful statement made by Global Tel Link (GTL).

 

Securus Technology is one of the leading service providers for criminal and civil justice technology solution for investigation, corrections, public safety, and monitoring. The categorized services of the company include investigation, emergency response, biometric analysis, inmate self-service, communication, public information, incident management and information management. Securus is growing rapidly, and they recently acquired JPay Inc.

 

The press release was made to protest against the recently published press release of GTL. In that press release, GTL has claimed few things that are in the process of trial and not yet solved.

 

On the press release of GTL, it’s evident that they are trying to push few things harder and influencing their client to showcase that their claims were right. Securus has cleared their stand by resolving the issues with logical, transparent and reliable answers.

 

GTL claimed on their PR that they have got permission from the court to claim case no. 7,256,816 of their own and can also seek injunction and claim for the damages against Securus. But the fact is, the case is still in the Texas court. Securus already send a prayer for to the court for a rehearing, and until it’s resolved, neither party can claim the win.

 

Securus has about 2-3 times more patent than GTL. All previous trials that Securus fought went in favor of them. On the contrary, GTL never succeeds to won any trial.

Richard A. Smith, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Securus Technology advised GTL to understand that these trials usually take several years to solve and cost millions of money. He also added that GTL should stop spending money on these trials and use these funds to expand their business. In addition, he stated that Securus will continue defending on any unlawful claims against them.
