The pair poured more than $30 million dollars into the humble hostel to turn it into one of the world’s most in demand 5-star luxury resorts.

Chris Burch and James McBride opened Nihiwatu Resort in 2015 and it was soon after named the number one hotel in the world by Travel + Leisure. The resort has already earned the nickname “The Edge Of The Wilderness” due to its secluded location.
