The radio host and T.V. personality has been serious issue for a while, but mainstream did not take notice until recently. The event that brought this about was a two-hour interview with Kanye West. West himself has advocated mental health in the past using himself as an example.

Both he and Charlamagne both use their own personal triumphs as a backdrop.
